Varying terms such as Fairtrade, fair trade, fairly traded etc. are currently used to bring these products to the consumers attention in the European market place. It is hoped over time the fairtrade foundation logo will be available to to manufacturers of other products. Our shawls are made by a number of women's groups located in the traditional shawl making areas of the world in particular India Napal and Guatemala. These groups are often members of fair trade organisations within their own country. Our aim is to support these groups so they can build grass routes community development, entrepreneurship and work towards environmentally friendly production and Fairer Trade.
